The Cedarwood oil is distilled from roots & stumps of Cedrus Deodara, which has been left after cutting of Deoddar trees for timber extraction.

Appearance: Pale yellow to dark yellow Specific gravity at 250C: 0.930 to 0.950 Ref. Index at 250C: 1.508 to 1.580 Optical Rotation: + 480 to + 700 Acid No.: Below 1 Flash Point: 1180C
Uses: Due to its woody odour epidermic and antiseptic properties, it is used by toilet soap manufacturer. Being non-toxic to mammals, it is used to control household insects in place of pyretherin.
